2. Summary

  • You can use every calculator without an account and without giving us any personal data.
  • Your calculator inputs stay in your browser. We never receive them.
  • We do not set our own cookies and do not sell personal information.
  • Our host processes technical connection data (such as your IP address) to deliver the site securely.

3. Calculator inputs

All calculations run locally in your browser. The devices and values you enter are written into the page address (URL) so you can bookmark or share a result. This URL is not stored by us. If you share the link, anyone with the link can see those inputs.

4. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (content delivery network). When you visit a page, Cloudflare processes technical data that your browser sends automatically: IP address, date and time, requested page, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website and protect it against attacks. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure, fast website). We have concluded a data processing agreement with Cloudflare. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the USA are based on the adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR) and, in addition, on standard contractual clauses. Log data is deleted by Cloudflare after a short period, unless it is needed to investigate a security incident.

5. Web analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit which pages. This service does not use cookies or local storage, does not create user profiles and does not track you across websites. It only provides us with aggregated statistics (for example page views per day and country). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in improving our content).

6. Affiliate links

Some links to products (for example buttons labelled "Check price on Amazon") are affiliate links. We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com. When you click such a link, you leave our website. The retailer (e.g. Amazon) may then set cookies on its own website to record that you came from us, so that we can receive a commission if you make a purchase. We do not receive any personal data about you from the retailer, only anonymous commission reports. Please refer to the retailer's privacy policy for details. Legal basis for including affiliate links: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in financing this free website).

7. Contact by email

If you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering inquiries). We delete your message once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods apply.

8. Embedded calculators on other websites

If another website embeds one of our calculators, your browser loads it from our servers. The same rules as in sections 3 and 4 apply.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). If processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your rights, simply email us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your residence or of our establishment.

10. Visitors from the United States

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes

We update this policy when our website or the law changes. The current version is always available on this page.
